Another post, finally....
Well, this post comes at a bittersweet time. On the downside, my grandmother passed away this last Monday. I was afraid at first that I would not be able to make it home for the funeral. But my flight commander and student squadron commander both helped me make the decision to go home and be with my family. So, that is where I am right now-HOME! But like I said, it is only because of the death in the family. But, I guess I will now start to update you all on my current situation.
WEEK 1
The first week can be summed up with one word: Yelling. We would always get yelled at very very frequently. All of us were very confused and backwards. I cannot really remember too much at this point. But I do recall there was a great amount of yelling.
WEEK 2
During this week, we started our academics. Piece of cake. We also had our first physical training test this week. I initially scored a 75.80 on the test-barely passing. But we worked out day after day and things started to get better.
WEEK 3
More academics and less yelling. Here we had to study study study for our first test that was coming up on the next Monday. We also earned the right to march around the campus at OTS on our own with out having our upper class "baby sitter." It was a very high morale and eventful week.
WEEK 4
First written test on Monday. Our flight scored the highest average in our entire class. It was pretty cool. I scored a 92 myself. Then, Tuesday, second PT test and again, our flight was the best. I also improved on all aspects of my test. I cut down the run by over 30 seconds, 8 more sit-ups, 6 more push-ups, and I also lost an inch off of my waistline. We also had a field exercise. Insert pic.
But this is the same week that my grandmother died. So, I had to leave Thursday morning and now I am in Minnesota until Sunday. Hope all is well with everyone else out there. God Bless.

I just have to say that the pic reminded me of GI Joe action figures. You guys look like you are having way too much fun. I'm glad things are working out and you are doing well. And yeah yelling, loud is the only volume they have over there, right?
