New Blog
Hey all.
I decided that I am starting a new blog, apart from my Air Force experience. You can see it at http://peterbarrett.blogspot.com.
The whole explanation is in the first post.
Possibly more Air Force stuff coming soon, too!
Hey all.
So, it's been way too long since I've been here. So, I may as well update everyone on the happenings of me.
Well, it finally happened. Last Friday, I graduated from my training. I now have my wings and will be leaving San Antonio soon enough. It was nice to have my parents down for the graduation and especially nice to have Mary Sue come and surprise me.
All right, so I'm a little late extending new years wishes, but I've been busy. As of today, I am "done" with my training. Now, I don't offically graduate until February, but there are no more graded events from here on out. It's pretty exciting to be this close to finished and out of Texas.
Ok, everyone. It has been a little too long since my last post, so I thought I would give you the quick catch up.
Well, I just finished my check ride for my Systems Navigation course and it went well. I've been doing very well also, during this past phase of training. I've been regularly told that I'm well above average and above the curve for my class. I guess you could say that I'm pretty satisfied with that!
Well, I have now officially passed my check ride for my Fundamentals of Navigation portion of my nav training. Our next portion is called Systems Navigation where we primarily learn how to navigate by radar. So, we'll be back in the classroom for about a week, then we go back to flying and simming. It is going very well for me. On my last three events, I've been graded as "excellent" which is as high as the grading goes. Now, it will go back down to "goods" most likely until I get the hang of all the new equipment that we will be learning to use. It's all really exciting.
